Weekly South Korea Crypto Market Outlook : The fourth week of December 2024

Cratos and CoinNess conduct regular weekly surveys.

Regular surveys are conducted every week within the Cratos app, and the number of survey participants is 2,000.

This particular survey was conducted from December 24th to December 27th.

According to the regular survey on weekly trends of Korean cryptocurrency investors jointly conducted by CoinNesss and Cratos, 42.7% of respondents (compared to 57.3% last week) forecasted that Bitcoin would rise or rise sharply next week. The percentage of respondents expecting a flat movement was 38.9% (compared to 29.8% last week), while the percentage of respondents anticipating a fall or sharp drop was 18.5% (compared to 13.0% last week).

For Ethereum, it showed a similar trend to Bitcoin. 55.5% of respondents (compared to 65.7% last week) forecasted that Ethereum would rise or rise sharply next week. Those expecting flat movement accounted for 33.5% (compared to 26.4% last week), while those anticipating a fall or sharp drop remained at 11.1% (compared to 8.0% last week).

When asked about market sentiment, 27.5%, responded with optimism or extreme optimism. The proportion of those responding neutrally was recorded at 43.2%. The percentage of people experiencing fear or extreme fear in the current cryptocurrency market is 29.3%.

In response to questions about coins they recently sold or plan to sell 18.4% of respondents answered Bitcoin, followed by 17.6% for Ethereum.
Additionally, 12.7% mentioned XRP, 7.3% Dogecoin, 2.2% Solana, 1.7% Bitcoin Gold, 1.5% TRON, 1.4% MiL.k, and 1.3% Ondo.
Furthermore, a total of 35.9% provided various other opinions. These included cryptocurrencies such as Aptos, Shiba Inu, Polygon, AhaToken, Ethereum Classic, BitTorrent, Meadium, CORE, Stacks, and others. 13.1% of respondents stated they had no intention to sell.

In response to questions about coins they recently sold or plan to buy 20.7% of respondents answered Bitcoin, followed by 17.4% for Ethereum.
Additionally, 13.8% mentioned XRP, 5.9% Dogecoin, 2.4% Solana , 1.7% MiL.k, 1.4% Shiba Inu, 1.4% Polygon, and 1.3% Ondo.
Furthermore, a total of 35.9% provided various other opinions. These included cryptocurrencies such as Cardano, PEPE, Babydoge, Ethereum Classic, World, AhaToken, CORE, BitTorrent, Kaia, and others. 12.5% of respondents stated they had no intention to buy.

As a response to a survey asking ‘What has been your biggest regret in cryptocurrency investing this year?’, 21.4% answered ‘Buying at the peak due to FOMO’. Those who answered ‘Selling too quickly because of FUD’ were 22.4%. 22.0% of respondents answered ‘Not buying or selling anything at all’. 14.1% of respondents answered ‘Missing out on airdrop opportunities due to laziness’. Also, 3.8% of respondents answered ‘Recommending a specific coin to others without sufficient understanding’. Lastly, the percentage of the repondents who answered ‘Not believing in Bitcoin’ was 16.5%.
