Weekly South Korea Crypto Market Outlook : The first week of August 2024

Cratos and CoinNess conduct regular weekly surveys.

Regular surveys are conducted every week within the Cratos app, and the number of survey participants is 2,000.

This particular survey was conducted from July 30th to August 2nd.

According to the regular survey on weekly trends of Korean cryptocurrency investors jointly conducted by CoinNesss and Cratos, 44.8% of respondents (compared to 48.0% last week) forecasted that Bitcoin would rise or rise sharply next week. The percentage of respondents expecting a flat movement was 41.5% (compared to 37.6% last week), while the percentage of respondents anticipating a fall or sharp drop was 13.8% (compared to 14.5% last week).

For Ethereum, it showed a similar trend to Bitcoin. 53.2% of respondents (compared to 53.5% last week) forecasted that Ethereum would rise or rise sharply next week. Those expecting flat movement accounted for 35.0% (compared to 34.7% last week), while those anticipating a fall or sharp drop remained at 11.9% (compared to 11.8% last week).

When asked about market sentiment, 35.9%, responded with optimism or extreme optimism. The proportion of those responding neutrally was recorded at 50.2%. The percentage of people experiencing fear or extreme fear in the current cryptocurrency market is 14.0%.

In response to questions about coins they recently sold or plan to sell 17.8% of respondents answered Bitcoin, followed by 16.8% for Ethereum.
Additionally, 13.8% mentioned XRP, 5.2% Dogecoin, 2.2% Solana, 1.6% TRON, 1.4% Polygon, 1.4% MiL.k, and 1.3% Shiba Inu.
Furthermore, a total of 38.5% provided various other opinions. These included cryptocurrencies such as AhaToken, Paycoin, BitTorrent, Klaytn, Cardano, Ethereum Classic, World coin, Wemix, Stacks, and others. 15.1% of respondents stated they had no intention to sell.

In response to questions about coins they recently sold or plan to buy 22.0% of respondents answered Bitcoin, followed by 16.7% for Ethereum.
Additionally, 13.3% mentioned XRP, 4.6% Dogecoin, 2.8% Solana , 1.4% MiL.k, 1.3% Shiba Inu, 1.1% Polygon, and 1.3% Shiba Inu.
Furthermore, a total of 38.5% provided various other opinions. These included cryptocurrencies such as AhaToken, BitTorrent, Cardano, Ethereum Classic, TRON, Klaytn, Ondo Finance, CORE, Metadium, and others. 13.9% of respondents stated they had no intention to buy.

As a response to a survey asking ‘What do you think of U.S. presidential candidate Trump’s bold pro-Bitcoin pledge?’, 33.0% answered ‘It’s a mid-to-long-term downside’. Those who answered ‘It’s a positive factor’ were 49.5%. 15.2% of respondents answered ‘There isn’t any long-term impact’. 2.4% of respondents answered ‘No interest at all’.
