Cratos Token Wallet Reallocation: Custody Wallet Migration
As previously announced here, Cratos has been holding a total of 30 billion CRTS tokens in three separate wallets through a custody service provider, KODA, as listed below:
- 0x5a40fffb33311d0bfd89b2d4b3fadab242f3b8fe (ERC20): 10,000,000,000 CRTS
- 0x05bc87a8f9edb4cd94246fe3dbe8621c06491b63 (ERC20): 10,000,000,000 CRTS
- 0xb4fd23ad4846341c096576ae4299478b0c550596 (ERC20): 10,000,000,000 CRTS
Due to a mandatory wallet migration request from KODA, the custodian service provider, we will be moving these tokens to new wallets.
Reason for the Migration
KODA, our trusted custodian, has recently implemented a new version of their wallet system, which incorporates advanced MPC (Multi-Party Computing) technology. This technology enhances security by splitting a single private key into multiple pieces for more secure and distributed management. As a result, they have requested that all existing wallets migrate to this new system before the old version is retired.
Wallet Reallocation Details
In accordance with KODA’s request, the 30 billion CRTS tokens currently held across three wallets will be transferred to three newly assigned wallets. Each new wallet will hold 10 billion CRTS tokens, maintaining the same distribution as before.
The migration process will begin in the coming days, and we will issue a follow-up announcement once the process is completed.
