Cratos Integrates Chainlink Keepers to Help Decentralize the Automation of Token Vesting
We’re excited to announce that Cratos — a V2E (Vote To Earn) cryptocurrency designed to facilitate citizen participation in the CRATOS app, a real-time voting platform — has integrated Chainlink Keepers on Ethereum mainnet. We are leveraging Chainlink Keepers to help securely and cost-efficiently automate token vesting. As a result, Cratos token vesting is now fully automated and more decentralized.
We decided to decentralize Cratos’ token vesting function using Chainlink Keepers because it is operated by the same pool of time-tested, provably reliable node operators that currently help secure tens of billions of dollars in DeFi through Chainlink Price Feeds. The proven infrastructure of Chainlink helps ensure that token vesting is executed on time in a trust-minimized manner, giving users stronger guarantees that it will function exactly as intended.
With CRATOS app, users can generate a topic and invite others to participate in the voting process. This can be for a wide range of issues, including economics, politics, cryptocurrency, etc. Users can earn CRTS tokens by signing up, creating a vote, leaving a comment, and participating in votes on a daily basis. As of April 16, 2022, the Cratos Korean & Global app has over 300K registered users and 600K downloads.
Smart contracts are inherently immutable — when a smart contract on Ethereum is live, there’s little that the project can do to make fundamental alterations to it. Chainlink Keepers enable us to simplify the process of vesting tokens on a monthly basis, a task that previously required a manual trigger. The Cratos team has been looking for this kind of transaction automation solution to help fully automate and decentralize token vesting.
